To maintain the performance of your Borner V-Slicer blades, please hand wash in warm water using a mild detergent. Do not use the dishwasher. Avoid using abrasive materials and be sure to dry the blades thoroughly after cleaning to prevent corrosion.

Any discolouration caused by beets, carrots or other vegetables can be removed by wiping away with conventional cooking oil

Yes, Borner products are designed with safety in mind. The blades are sharp to ensure efficient cutting, but the products are also equipped with safety features to minimize risks. It is essential to follow the instructions for use provided with each product.

It is important the safety food holder be slid up and down the V-Slicer in the direction of the arrows clearly marked on each side of the holder.

Also, the food safety holder is cleverly designed to not interfere with the blades, even after you have sliced your vegetable/fruit to a very small piece.

Borner's V3 TrendLine and V6 ExclusiveLine slicers have the same cutting specifications. The key difference is the V6 is made of higher quality and more durable stainless steel. The V6 ExclusiveLine Starter Set also includes an additional safety insert to cover the slicer blades.

The V5 PowerLine provides more functions with four thickness position settings for slicing versus two for the V3/V6. Additionally the V5 PowerLine Starter Set does not require vegetables to be manually cut with a knife to create cubes - cubes can be achieved by simply rotating the safety food holder 90° before each slicing action.

The safety food holder accessory is suitable for use with all Borner V-Slicers including the V3, V5 and V6. It is also suitable for use with Borner's Grater, Rosti, Roko, and Wave Waffle PowerLine products.
